Precarity Happy Hour

Lucky Pierre Free University

Feeling the burden of student loan debt, unstable employment, precarious labor, and the pressures of making ends meet?

(2016, LPFU, performance, study group) As part of the exhibition Precarity: Contingency in Artmaking and Academia Gallery 400, Chicago, (and assisted by a giant squirrel, gin, and bartenders in gold hot pants) Lucky Pierre Free University created Precarity Happy Hour in response to themes of precarity presented in the exhibition. Two lucky attendees received fully-unaccredited Masters of Fine Arts degrees from LPFU.

Attendees were invited to join our LPFU seminar/reading group “The Ceiling Has Been Leaking for 23 Years: Normalizing Precarity in a Neoliberal World” - a series of happy hour discussions at The Skylark in Pilsen and Big Chicks in Edgewater.
